Dan Duquette ready to rebuild Orioles!

According to CEO Crash Allvord, We were extremely fortunate to have someone with Dan's credentials and knowledge leading our entire player development system with a dedication to cultivating young talent while our teams excel at all levels to deliver winning baseball.Duquette's baseball career began as an assistant in scouting department for the Milwaukee Brewers. He then became the Director of Player Development for the Montreal Expos in the late 1980's which eventually led to a GM position with them. In 1995, he joined the Boston Red Sox, where he rebuilt the scouting and player development system into what you see today. Mr. Duquette played a key role in expanding professional opportunities, more than 25 of our players signed under his leadership including USMC Wounded Warrior Cooper Brannan who played in the San Diego Padres Organization after his time with the www.usmilitaryallstars.us

The Sempra Energy Softball Tournament Committee and Energy for Life Wellness Programs hosted the 34th Annual Employee Softball Tournament at Big League Dreams Sports Park. The event theme "Feeling Red, White & Blue" featured a special tribute to our active, veteran and military service members in commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of 9-11, company employees and Wounded Warriors who suited up to play for the U.S. Military All-Stars against the SEMPRA Executives."
The Wellness Team provided free American flags to wave in the stands, patriotic bracelets and a special commemorative pin. A moving Pre-Game Ceremony performed by the U.S. Military All-Stars featured a "Passing of the Ground Zero Flag" presentation in recognition of former soldier and Sempra employee Sgt. Major Jesse Acosta who suffered severe injuries, which included the loss of his sight as a result of a mortar attack in Iraq on January 16, 2006. Despite his injuries, Acosta has become a positive force and voice for the rehabilitation of disabled soldiers as a member of "Thank a Vet."

The U.S. Military All-Stars stay busy during spring training at the MLB Legends Game, Baseball for Kids, Caps for Kids, VA and children's hospital visits. they have also found time to workout with the San Francisco Giants, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays.

U.S. Military All-Stars outfielder LT. Will Sheehan passes the Ground Zero flag to Army Chaplain, Captain Juan Adriatico at Sovereign Bank Stadium in York, PA. The York Revolution have hosted the U.S. Military All-Stars along with the Atlantic League for the past 5-years. Their most recent contest ended in a 6-6 tie in a battle that featured just about everything you love about baseball, including a triple-play and a grand slam.

A U.S. ARMY helicopter delivers the ceremonial first pitch as part of the U.S. Military All-Stars pre-game ceremony at the Major League Baseball Legends Game in Tampa, Florida. York Revolution third baseman Vince Harrison unsuccessfully tries to tag out a diving U.S. Military All-Star in the first inning of an exhibition game at Sovereign Bank Stadium. The "Red, White & Blue Tour" defeated the Lancaster Barnstormers 8-1 the night before as the Revolution hosted the second game during the 5th Atlantic League series.
