As the founder of the U.S. Military All-Stars, I would like to thank you for your interest in being a part of our
world famous barnstorming "Red, White & Blue Tour" featuring the only "joint" Armed Forces and First
Responders competing in both baseball and softball. Established in Pensacola, Florida at the request of President
H. W. Bush in 1990, we have earned a reputation as the "Globetrotters of Baseball" performing in 45 states and
12 countries.
Over 25,000 men and women serving on Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, ROTC, Service Academy, Delayed Entry
Program, Wounded Warriors, Amputees, Veterans and First Responders have suited up alongside MLB Alumni
like Jeff Kent, Bob Feller, Tommy John, Wade Boggs and many, many more. Professional athletes like NFL
Quarterback Doug Flutie and celebrities like "Larry the Cable Guy" have joined proud Americans all across the
country by wearing our unique camouflage uniform. Our bright yellow ribbon is crafted in the shape of an "S" to
signify "SUPPORT for our Troops."
Although our program has won more than 70% of our games, each player fully understands our responsibility far exceeds games won or lost. We represent everyone who has ever worn a uniform in service to our country. The majority of our players have served overseas or will deploy soon. We invite you to learn more about our program on Google and by watching the many videos on YouTube.
We need talented Armed Forces, First Responders, Wounded Warriors and Amputees on our roster. If you are interested in becoming a Player or Coach ask yourself two questions :
1) Can I compete at this level ?
2) Are you willing to take LEAVE to play if your command won’t support your request ?
TRYOUTS
We no longer conduct OPEN TRYOUTS since it would just add to your travel expenses. Not to mention, many of
you are deployed.
PLAYING TIME
Our Field Manager determines the daily line-up and playing time. This will be one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of your
life.
IF YOU CAN’T COMPETE AT THE COLLEGE OR PROFESSIONAL LEVEL PLEASE DO NOT APPLY
TRAVEL
As part of the "Red, White & Blue Tour" you can expect quite a bit of travel, especially if you decide to join us during June and July when we are basically in a different city everyday. Our goal has always been to minimize or eliminate out of pocket costs. As a result, we provide all Ground TRANSPORTATION, majority of LODGING and Game Day MEALS while on the city-to-city portion of the U.S. Bus Tour.
Provide a short Professional / Baseball Biography for Media Requests (SAMPLE):
Centerfielder Johnny Hernandez was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers out of Xaverian High School in 1997 and
later played St. Louis organization. His best year came in 2002 while playing for Potomac (A, Cardinals) in the
Carolina League. Hernandez hit .283 that season, and set career marks for games played (139), hits (141), runs (54),
doubles (24), triples (5) and RBI (62). Brooklyn-born Johnny Hernandez joined the U.S. Navy after living through the
tragedy of 9-11 in New York. He served as a Boatswains Mate in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Hernandez
became the all-time leader in numerous offensive and defensive categories during his four seasons with the U.S. Military
All-Stars. Hernandez made his Atlantic League debut in 2007 as a member of the Bridgeport Bluefish after Tommy John
saw him play as a member of the U.S. Military All-Stars. Hernandez hit .299 with nine doubles, four triples and 27
runs scored in just 39 games. On February 26, 2009 after two seasons with the Bluefish, he signed with the Long Island
Ducks hitting .275 and helping them reach the Atlantic League play-offs.
Congratulations on completing the first step of the process. You still may not understand how it all works or what to do next. No problem. Our goal is to keep it simple! Your goal is to play at a competitive level while representing your service and our country. We provide the opportunity for you to compete on the most talented military team in the world. It’s that simple!
We want the most talented, squared-away Armed Forces, First Responders, Wounded Warriors and Amputees available on our roster. Make sure you do a reality check :
- Be good enough
- Have the support of your family
- Afford to play
- Determine WHEN YOU can play based on YOUR personal and operational schedules
- Be willing to take LEAVE, even if your command won’t support your TAD request
We honor a philosophy of "HUSTLE, THINK, WIN!" Our joint dedication to the success of the tour will continue to promote a positive image in support of our armed forces while attracting future generations to serve our nation and our military. All personnel will receive a performance evaluation. Please do not hesitate to contact us with additional questions or concerns. We invite you to view our complete schedule and follow our progress by visiting: www.usmilitaryallstars.us.
Very Respectfully,
LCDR Crash Allvord, USN (Ret.)
